Students will have three class periods to construct a larger, more detailed coil-built ceramic piece. Under the guidance of the instructor, students will explore various handbuilding techniques and learn the nuances of building a larger vessel. Finishing will include carving, burnishing, and adding attractive details. There will be a two-week break, (giving the finished work ample time to dry), and in the fourth class, students will glaze their masterpieces.
